McLean Musicians Earn All-District Honors
Students among the best represented in regional band this month.

McLean High School is sending more students to a regional All District Band than any other high school in Virginia.
“McLean now churns out some of the finest high school musicians in the nation,” said McLean’sDirector of Bands Chris Weise, “That reflects well on our educators and the region, but it is mostly a testament to the dedication and talent of the students at McLean.”

Sixty-six musicians from McLean High School were selected for this year's All District Band.

The McLean students joined musicians from 14 other Arlington and Fairfax County high schools last weekend for the All District band event in Arlington. Langely High School is sending 25 students to the All District Band.
Some of the students selected will go on to audition for the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA)'s All-State band. Auditions are held Feb. 23 at James Madison University.
