McLean Neighbor Steve Case Talks About His Friend Steve Jobs

Case writes about what he learned from Steve Jobs.

McLean Neighbor Steve Case writes movingly of his work with Steve Jobs through the years and the last time the two saw each other.

"More recently, I had dinner with Steve and a few others (Rupert Murdoch, Mark Zuckerberg, etc.) after he spoke at the D conference.

"He was clearly tired but was so engaged in the conversation he stayed longer than he intended. I think we all had the sense this might our last time together. Sadly, it was," Case wrote in The New York Times on Wednesday.

Jobs, CEO of Apple and developer of the gadgets of the digital age, died Wednesday evening of pancreatic cancer.

"He was the most innovative entrepreneur of our generation," Case said. "His legacy will live on for the ages. And it’s not just about Apple and its products. It’s also the legacy of how one person can change the world."
