McLean Project for the Arts Brings MPAartfest Back to McLean Central Park
The ninth-annual event, co-hosted by the McLean Community Center will take place Sunday, and the event is catered to guests of all ages.

The McLean Project for the Arts, in collaboration with the McLean Community Center, is hosting its ninth-annual MPAartfest on Sunday, Oct. 4, at McLean Central Park along Dolley Madison Boulevard near the community center.
The outdoor art festival will run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
There will be 48 regional artists displaying and selling artwork at this year’s festival, as well as live entertainment and a variety of other exhibits for visitors of all ages, including:

- Children’s Art Walk: A walkable, outdoor exhibition of work from some of the McLean area’s top students of all ages.
- MPA Artreach Hands-On Art Studio: An art center where visitors can create their own artwork.
- STEAM Center: A station where art is applied to science math, engineering and technology. (STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics.)
- Art in Flight: A kite designing and flying station inside the park.
- The Art of Architecture: An exploration of the relationship between art and design.
- Open Art Studio: A station simply dedicated to creative art activities.
- Pixel My World: Incorporates contributions from participants to create a pixelated image of their world.
