McLean Runners Compete in Boston Marathon
No word on whether the 12 runners from McLean were injured in explosions near the finish line.

As hundreds of runners crossed the finish line at the 117th running of the Boston Marathon Monday afternoon, two explosive devices detonated from trash cans on Boylston Street in Boston, killing two people and wounding more than 100 others.
There were 12 runners (eight men and four women) from McLean registered to run the 2013 Boston Marathon. The race shut down immediately when security became a concern, but it appears that at least 10 of McLean's runners finished the race before it ended.
Police in DC and the surrounding area were on heightened alert Monday afternoon and evening.
