The home along the Potomac River has been on the market for more than two years, and the highest offer previously made exceeded $13 million.

Have you ever dreamed of living the life of a king or queen? Well, there may not be any crowns up for grabs in the Northern Virginia area, but there is a castle for sale right here in McLean.

The catch? It’ll cost you about $13.5 million. If that’s no obstacle, however, the castle can be yours rather soon.

Known as the “Castle on the River,” the 16,000 square foot McLean estate located at 612 Rivercrest Drive is being auctioned off today (Tuesday, June 23) after sitting on the market for more than two years. The property will be awarded to the highest bidder, with no reserve or minimum bid in play.

The $13.5 million figure comes from the highest offer made on the home while it was on the market.

The Castle on the River lies adjacent to the Potomac River, and is a short drive from Washington D.C. as well as Tysons Corner. The house earned its name as a residence considered “fit for royalty,” according to the auction posting, as it features seven bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and two half bathrooms on a 1.2-acre piece of land.
