McLean's New ABC Liquor Store Opens Tuesday
New ABC store will move into a brand-new space just across the street in McLean with an enhanced selection of "exceptional, rare products."
McLEAN, VA -- The new ABC liquor store coming to McLean will offer an enhanced selection of "exceptional and rare" products usually only available by special order, according to the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
The old ABC store at 1446 Chain Bridge Road closed Sunday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. and the new store will open Tuesday at 10 a.m. in its new location at 1445-B Chain Bridge Road.

The new store will increase in size by more than 300 square feet – from 3515 square feet at the previous location to 3,858 at the new one. Customers will continue to find distilled spirits, mixers and Virginia wines, but with a greater variety of distinctive products, including an additional 98 bourbons, 57 brandies and cognacs, several premium scotches and a full selection of Virginia-made products, rounding out the product offering to more than 2,000 items for sale.
The store’s operating hours will remain the same, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

During the one-day transition on Monday, shoppers can purchase spirits at nearby Virginia ABC outlets located at 7121 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church or 8413 Old Courthouse Road in Vienna.
“The store’s new selection of superior products was designed to accommodate the discerning tastes and preferences of our clientele in the McLean area,” said ABC Director of Retail Operations Wilson Jones. “We look forward to serving McLean and its visitors in our convenient and contemporary retail location.”
