Meet 50th Anniversary Mural Artist At March 1 Workshop
Members of the McLean community are invited to attend a mural workshop with artist Jeremy Jarvis on Saturday.
MCLEAN, VA — McLean Community Association is hosting a mural workshop with Jeremy Jarvis, the mural artist chosen for the 50th anniversary commission, from 10 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, at the McLean Community Center.
Jarvis will discuss the design of the anniversary mural and is seeking input from the public on the final mural design. In particular, he wants to hear what makes McLean special, so that he can make a design that best reflects the community.
A number of Community Paint Days are scheduled for September to create the community mural on the exterior of the Old Firehouse Center in downtown McLean. No artistic experience or skills are required to participate. All ages are welcome.
