Mega Millions Jackpot Swells to $309 Million for Tuesday's Drawing

The jackpot for the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday, March 11, is at $309 million – the ninth-largest in the game’s history – and could grow before the drawing.
The jackpot has been building since Jan. 3, reports WBAL TV. The cash option is $169 million.
The biggest Mega Millions jackpot was in 2012 at $656 million.

One of the three winning tickets in that drawing was sold in Maryland and was split between three lucky winners who dubbed themselves "The Three Amigos" since they wished to remain anonymous, the station says.
