Mercedes Driver Rams Fairfax Cop Car: Police
The Fairfax County police say that a Sterling man led them on a wild chase Monday night after ramming a police cruiser with his Mercedes.

McLEAN, VA — A Sterling man is accused of driving while intoxicated and deliberately crashing his Mercedes into a Fairfax County police cruiser during a wild chase on Monday night, July 22, according to the Police Department. Brian Templeman, 45, also has been charged with reckless driving, driving on a revoked license, assault on law enforcement and eluding law enforcement, the police said.
The incident occurred at 11 p.m. Monday in the 8100 block of Old Dominion Drive, when "the driver of a black Mercedes refused to stop when officers tried to pull him over for driving recklessly," a police report stated.
The Mercedes driver, identified as Templeman, "intentionally rammed a police cruiser before turning down a dead-end street and running away," the report added.

The officers chased down and arrested Templeman, who has been charged with his fourth DWI offense, the police said.
The report did not identify the year or model of the Mercedes automobile, or the dead-end street where the chase ended.
