Fairfax County Police released video of the suspect in the that began in February.
The video shows the suspect entering the Marshall’s store at Greenbriar Shopping Center on June 20, one of the dates connected with the six reported incidents.
After police released information of five incidents that have occurred since February, the latest in Fair Oaks Mall on July 25, Monday to report an incident in early June at T.J. Maxx in Fairfax Towne Center.
The reports indicate a man follows young women into retail stores, causes a distraction, cuts them and then slips away, police said in a statement. The victims have all been women in their teens or early 20's.
Police believe the six incidents are connected to one suspect:
Feb. 14 near Champps in Fair Oaks Mall
May 15 at Ann Taylor in Fair Oaks Mall
June 8 at T.J. Maxx in Fairfax Towne Center
June 18 at H&M in Tysons Corner Mall
June 20 at Marshalls in Greenbriar Shopping Center
July 25 at Forever 21 in Fair Oaks Mall
The suspect is described as late 20’s, around 5 feet 6 inches tall and heavy-set. He wore white shorts and a short-sleeved shirt in the July 25 assault.
