Power Restored At Fairfax Government Center; Some Services Remain Down

FAIRFAX, VA — Power was restored at the Fairfax County Government Center around 1:25 p.m. on Wednesday. Even though power has been restored, some county services remain offline.

The outage was reported at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday. Most in-person services were temporarily unavailable for about an hour.

Although early voting continued at the government center polls, voters were encouraged to go to one of the other early voting centers, which opened at 1 p.m.:

• Mount Vernon Governmental Center, 2511 Parkers Lane, Alexandria, 22306. Hours: Monday – Friday: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturdays (Oct. 26 and Nov. 2): 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday (Oct. 27): 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
• North County Governmental Center, 1801 Cameron Glen Drive, Reston, 20190. Hours: Monday – Friday: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturdays (Oct. 26 and Nov. 2): 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday (Oct. 27): 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Fairfax County voters can also cast in-person ballots at 13 additional early voting centers. The hours are: Monday – Friday: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturdays (Oct. 26 and Nov. 2): 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday (Oct. 27): 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
