Powerball: No Jackpot Winner, but a New Powerball $1 Million Winner in Virginia

Check your Powerball ticket from Wednesday night's drawing (see the numbers here) and see how high the jackpot will get by the next drawing.

There was no prize winner in Wednesday's Powerball drawing, according to Powerball officials, and the jackpot for the next drawing will be an estimated $475 million.

One person from Virginia did win $1 million and another 64,000 people won at least $1 in the Wednesday drawing. 

Wednesday's numbers were: 2, 11, 26, 34, 41 and the Powerball was 32.

The jackpot is won by matching all five white balls in any order and picking the red Powerball number. Jackpot winners can either have their winnings paid out over 29 years in 30 payments or in one lump sum payment.

The next drawing is Saturday, May 18.

If you took the lump sum payout after winning the $475 million jackpot, the cash value could be upwards of $300 million.

When the Powerball climbs this high, it brings out a lot of people who don't normally play, said John Hagerty, spokesperson for the Virginia Lottery. (Virginia is one of 43 states that play; Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands play too.)
