Safeway Teaming Up with Sunoco to Offer Gas Points

Gas prices aren't as high as they used to be but who doesn't like to save at the gas pump? Safeway has teamed up with participating Sunoco to offer savings depending on the amount you spend at the grocery store.

There are plenty of Safeway stores and Sunoco gas stations across Northern Virginia.

You can earn points that will get you up to 20 cents off a gallon at participating Sunocos or up to a $1 off a gallon at Safeway fuel stations.

Here's how it works:

Every $1 spent equals one point. Every $100 you spend at the grocery store within one month equals 10 cents off per gallon.
