Shooter Strikes Six Vehicles in Fairfax County: Police
Police say forensic evidence links at least seven shooting cases across the county, including one home shot.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Fairfax County Police are investigating at least six incidents of shots being fired at vehicles and one shot into a home that they say is linked by forensic evidence, police announced Wednesday.
No injuries have been reported, according to police. A Fairfax County Police spokeswoman Wednesday said that the incidents are just the cases that have been reported to them and there may be more out there. She characterized the shootings as "reckless and random."
Once detectives began looking into these separate incidents, they determined all of the cases are likely forensically linked, police said. Although police have no suspect information at this time, they do have a description of a car from the most recent incident.
