MCLEAN, VA — Tuesday was supposed to be the day when everyone returned to work or school following the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, but Mother Nature had a different plan for McLean residents.

A winter storm warning was in effect to 10 a.m. on Tuesday for most of Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., according to the National Weather Service.
