Three Burglaries Friday in Idylwood Area
Three burglaries reported Friday afternoon involved similar circumstances.

Three homes were burglarized Friday in the Idylwood neighborhood, according to Fairfax County Police reports.
The three homes—on Maydan Lane, Tod Street and Virginia Lane—are within about a mile of each other.
In every case, a resident reported that someone had forced entry into a home through a window and stole several items, including jewelry. All three burglaries were reported Friday afternoon.

Earlier this month, 10 McLean homes were burglarized in a span of just 5.5 hours. Those burglaries were also on a Friday and involved forced entry.
There is no information available about whether these incidents are connected to each other or if they are connected to that series of 10 burglaries that all occured Friday, May 3 in McLean. (A message to Fairfax County police sent late Monday night was not immediately returned.)

Here are the three burglaries that occured Friday, May 10, as they appeared in the Fairfax County Police Department's daily activity reports posted Monday.
BURGLARY, 7600 block of Maydan Lane, 5/10/13, 2:15 [p.m.]. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include jewelry. Forced entry was made through a window.
BURGLARY, 7200 block of Tod Street, 5/10/13, 3:10 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include jewelry. Forced entry was made through a window.
BURGLARY, 7700 block of Virginia Lane, 5/10/13, 6:20 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole a laptop computer. Forced entry was made through a window.
