Tragic Anniversary: Story of the Four Crosses at Route 7, Lewinsville Road
The county's worst traffic accident

Twenty years ago today, four teenagers died at the corner of Route 7 and Lewinsville Road, the Fairfax County Times reported.
The Times said it is believed to have been the county's worst traffic accident.
On the afternoon of June 18, 1992, "four teenagers were killed at the intersection of Va. 7 and Lewinsville Road after the driver of the car they were in turned into the path of a dump truck, which pushed the car into another dump truck," the Times reported in a story marking the anniversary.

Four crosses with the names of the victims "has stood at the spot of the accident for nearly 20 years," the Times said.
