Update: Claude Moore Farm Fundraiser BBQ Postponed to Oct. 8

The event, originally scheduled for of Friday, Oct. 2, will include a silent auction, live music and dancing, a cash bar and beer tastings.

Last month, McLean’s Claude Moore Farm announced it would host a barbecue fundraiser for the community on Friday, Oct. 2.

However, due to inclement weather throughout the area this week, a spokesperson for the fundraiser told Patch the event has been moved to Thursday, Oct. 8, to avoid the rain.

The barbecue will run from 6-9 p.m., and will feature delicious food and fun activities for the whole family.

Tickets are $35 apiece, and $25 for farm volunteers. Children under the age of 6 may enter free of charge.

There will also be a cash bar on site. The barbecue menu includes marinated grilled chicken; dry rubbed, slow cooked pork barbecue; farm to fork vegetables; cole slaw and tossed salad; and warm peach cobbler.
