McLean High Boys Tennis Team Enjoys Undefeated Season

McLean High update on spring sports.

McLean High School shared this update on their spring sports teams this week:

Boys Tennis has started off with an impressive 6-0 record with marquee wins over Thomas Jefferson and Langley. They are currently in first place in the Liberty District.

Girls Tennis has started off with an impressive 4-2 record, including wins over Fairfax, Stone Bridge, South Lakes and Madison and are currently in third place in the Liberty District.

Baseball is off to a 7-4 start with marquee wins over Lake Braddock and West Springfield during the spring break tournament at McLean High School.

Softball is off to an 8-2 start and went 3-0 at the spring break tournament at Robinson High school.

Girls Soccer is off to a 3-2 start and 1-0 in the Liberty District.

Boys Soccer is off to a 3-2 start and 1-0 in the Liberty District.

Boys Lacrosse has gotten off to a very competitive start with big wins over Yorktown, Annandale and Falls Church. They are in the heart of Liberty District play.

Girls Lacrosse has been competitive with wins over Washington Lee and Falls Church and are in the heart of Liberty District play.

Track and Field has had several strong performances so far with meets against Stone Bridge, Thomas Jefferson, Madison and Marshall. They also competed in the Carolyn Legends meet at Woodson High School in March.

Crew had a very successful spring training at Camp Cooper and in Summerton, SC and is primed for the spring season. In the winter season at the MidAtlantic Erg Sprints, McLean won the High School Team Trophy with 420 points over second place with 186 points. The thrilling finish of the junior mixed relay event was just the last event of a day of very strong performances by McLean rowers.  

Special Olympics had an amazing last game of the season beating a team they had previously lost to. The FAN QUEST game between Oakton was standing room only with an estimated 1,600 fans in attendance. The game ended in a tie, proving that everyone wins in Special Olympics.
