FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Worried about the Zika virus? Sit back and take a listen to a rap video from a Fairfax County biologist who is spreading the word about how to prevent Zika.
The biologist, Andy Lima, aka MC Bugg-Z, is getting the word out about the Zika virus with his rap song he posted to YouTube.
In Virginia, there have been 80 cases reported of the Zika virus, with 41 of those cases reported in the Northern Virginia suburbs. A baby affected by Zika virus may be born with significant health issues, like microcephaly, according to the CDC.

Titled "Zika 101 (Vector Control)," the song's lyrics include "Yo, don't get sick with Zika from the bite of a mosquit-a."
The rap video features simple steps for personal protection against Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus, the two known mosquito vectors of Zika virus. The biologist says you can prevent Zika by avoiding mosquito bites and taking actions to limit mosquitoes on your property. The mosquitoes that spread Zika develop exclusively in small containers commonly found holding water around the yard.
