Warner, Bennett to Campaign Thursday for Clinton in McLean

Fall campaign kickoff event begins at 5 p.m. in McLean for Hillary Clinton presidential bid.

McLEAN, VA -- Sen. Mark Warner and congressional candidate LuAnn Bennett and will campaign for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and her running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine, Thursday afternoon at a "fall campaign kick off" celebration in McLean, the Clinton campaign announced.

Bennett is running against Republican incumbent Congresswoman Barbara Comstock in the 10th congressional District, which includes McLean.

At the event Thursday afternoon, Warner and Bennett and supporters will discuss "how Clinton will be a steady, experienced Commander in Chief who will work with allies to keep Americans safe. In contrast, Donald Trump has shown that he is temperamentally unfit to serve as president by insulting veterans and military families and proposing an agenda that would threaten the safety and security of families across Virginia," the campaign noted in its announcement.
