Donate Toys for Santa's Ride

Donations of toys, books, and games may be dropped off at local police stations.

Santa and his elves will soon be riding down the streets of Fairfax County on motorcycles to collect presents for children in need.

This year, Fairfax County Police officers will escort Santa on motorcycles for the 26th Annual Santa's Ride for Children on Dec. 11, 12, and 13 to collect toys and deliver them to children in need.

Toys, books, and other community donations will be picked up by motorcycle officers and delivered to children at Inova Fairfax Hospital Child Life Center, Georgetown Hospital, Lombardi Cancer Center, and local charities including the Ronald McDonald House and Reston F.I.S.H.

Fairfax County police stations and select elementary schools are now collecting donations. Anyone wishing to make a donation should bring a new, unwrapped toy, game, book, or other gift to the Mount Vernon Government Center or Groveton Elementary School by Dec. 10 at 9 a.m.
