Local Resident Susan Botts Wins 'Dream Staycation' Contest

We asked, and you answered. Patch readers shared their favorite spring break staycation destinations to enter our Dream Staycation contest in March.

This week, we selected our winner.

The winner of our ‘Dream Staycation’ contest is Susan Botts!

Susan wrote:

I love to take the family on the water taxi on the Potomac. Just a little before dusk hop on at Old Town and go over to National Harbor. Bring some old bread and feed the flying seaguls on the way. Then we go and do some climbing on the Awakening and water taxi back to Old Town. Gotta get some Pop's ice cream and then just sit on the boardwalk and watch people and pet all the dogs :) If we are lucky the musical water glass guy will be there and we can enjoy a beautiful song or two. On the way out the kids all get a balloon animal! Fun time for all.
