Man Who Allegedly Set Woman on Fire: Police Release Photo of Suspect's Car

Fairfax County Police: Be on the lookout for suspect's car, but do not approach; call 911. May have Virginia plates VPW1915.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- As Fairfax County Police continue to investigate an arson and malicious wounding in the Mount Vernon area, detectives are still looking for the suspect, Lewis Edward Reeder. Police say Reeder set the woman on fire. She survived but is recovering in a hospital, police said.

Police released more information Tuesday about the suspect, regarding the car he could be driving and are hoping the public can help.

Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a green, 2001 Ford Taurus, four-door; Virginia license plates VPW1915 might be displayed on the car. If you see the car, do not approach it. Please call 911 immediately and provide the location.
