Officer Dispatched to Help Stranded Motorists Discovers Their Car Is Stolen: Police
Two suspects from New Jersey were charged with possession of stolen property. Their car broke down near Fort Belvoir.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- An officer who was dispatched to help two stranded motorists Friday night determined the car was stolen from another state, Fairfax County Police said Monday.
The incident started Friday when the officer was dispatched shortly before 6 p.m. to Backlick Road and Richmond Highway (see map below) near Fort Belvoir.
The officer determined the car was stolen from another state, called for backup and took the driver and passenger into custody, police said. Gajuan Carter, 20, of Newark, N.J., and Rashawn Logan, 18, of Irvington, N.J., were taken to jail and charged with possession of stolen property.
