City Of Norfolk: Motorcyclist Dies Following Accident On Lafayette Boulevard

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A man has died following a crash Tuesday evening at the intersection of Lafayette Boulevard and Tidewater Drive.

Around 6:15 p.m., on December 21, 2021, police responded to the 1900 block of Lafayette Boulevard for the report of an accident involving a motorcycle and a car. When officers arrived, they found the driver of the motorcycle suffering from life-threatening injuries sustained during a crash.
The man, identified as Matthew T. Kulik,56, of Norfolk, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and was not injured.
This accident is still being investigated by the Norfolk Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
