City Of Norfolk: Norfolk Police Arrest Homicide Suspect

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) –Detectives have arrested and charged the man responsible a shooting that left another man dead.

On November 17, 2021, around 9:05 p.m., Officers responded to the report of a gunshot victim at 2727 Azalea Garden Road. When police arrived, they located Jessie L. Taylor, 41, of Norfolk, suffering from a gunshot wound. Taylor was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As a result of their investigation, Detectives have charged Joseph L. Cross Jr., 34, of Chesapeake, with second-degree murder, and use of a firearm.

Cross is currently in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
