Nando’s Gives Away Free Meals in Virginia Beach, in a Thank You to Patient Fans

On September 19th, to Celebrate Its Renewed Focus on Service, Nando’s Gives Customers Free Flame-Grilled PERi-PERi Chicken

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, September 19, 2023 – On September 19th, at its Virginia Beach location only, Nando’s PERi-PERi will give away free PERi-PERi chicken and fries to customers from 6pm to 8pm. In exchange, Nando’s fans must bring in a non-perishable food item for donation to The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.

Nando’s is giving away one free quarter-chicken and a complimentary side of PERi-PERi chips (fries) per customer as a thank you to its patient Virginia Beach fans.

“When we opened in the Town Center in February, the lines were out the door and I’m not sure we were fully ready for the love that Virginia Beach showed us,” said John Fisher, CEO of Nando’s PERi-PERi. “Nando’s is all about making guests feel at home, and we may have let some of our fans down. So please come in and enjoy a delicious PERi-PERi meal on us, and experience our renewed focus on service first-hand! And please bring a donation for our great local foodbank when you do.”

Nando’s will deliver donations of non-perishable food items to The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. Since 1981, the Foodbank has distributed more than 360 million pounds of food equating to more than 300 million meals to area residents experiencing food insecurity.

Nando’s is the beloved South African restaurant brand recognized around the world for its spicy flame-grilled chicken. The new location in Virginia Beach marks Nando’s first restaurant in the Hampton Roads region. The 3,050-square-foot restaurant features original, contemporary South African art and furniture.
