Here are the top three stories in Norfolk today:
- On Tuesday, the City of Norfolk held a groundbreaking celebration for the Tidewater Gardens Transformation Project. Members of the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RHA), as well as officials from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, gathered for the first phase of the long-awaited initiative in the St. Paul's community. According to Mayor Kenny Alexander, the redevelopment is "about more than bricks and mortar ... [it's] about transforming lives with a holistic approach that uplifts families today and provides hope for better tomorrows."(News 3 WTKR Norfolk)

The first public service career fair will be held today, Apr. 20, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The second will be held on Saturday, Apr. 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Job seekers can potentially walk away with a contingent job offer, as well as a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time positions.
