Dog Bite/Deadly Force: A police officer shot and killed a Rottweiler dog on Sunday, January 29 shortly after 2 p.m. The officer responded to the 2800 block of Derek Road for the report of an 81-year-old man being attacked by a dog. The officer shot the dog after several unsuccessful attempts were made to pull the dog off the man. Further investigation determined the man was walking outside when the dog got loose and attacked him.
