Flint Hill defeats ISL foe Sidwell Friends 67-48

The Flint Hill girls basketball team took an early lead over Sidwell Friends and never looked back for a 67-48 win, notching their second victory of the season over their fellow Independent School League competitor.

The Huskies had as much as a 20-point lead over the Quakers in the first half, and entered halftime with a score of 32-16.

The point gap remained large, closing to a little as 13 points in the third period and widening again throughout the second half.

Alison Bragaw-Butler posted a game-high 23 points, with Alex Long hitting the double-digits with 13.

Flint Hill has two more games left in the regular season. The Huskies' next game pits them against Holton-Arms, who they defeated by a narrow margin of 51-47 last month, at 6 p.m. Feb. 14. They will face Georgetown Visitation, an undefeated squad, for their final game of the season Feb. 21.
