• FCPS finalizes school boundary recommendations ahead of public hearing (ffxnow.com) — Fairfax County Public Schools is nearing approval of major new attendance boundaries that will shift more than 2,000 students across 52 schools, with a board vote expected Jan. 22. While most immediate changes affect other areas, FCPS may revisit Briarwood Trace and Briarwood Farms in about two years to see how a new western high school impacts enrollment at Oakton High School.
