ā€¢ Western High School could be name of Fairfax County's new western high school (ffxnow.com) ā€” Oakton-area families could soon opt into a new Fairfax County high school in Herndon, with seats reserved for students from the Oakton High School pyramid starting in 2026-27. The school, likely to be named Western High School, will open on an opt-in basis first, then gradually shift to assigned boundaries that may change where Oakton students attend.
