• FCDOT proposes streets for testing reduced 20-mph speed limit (ffxnow.com) — Oakton residents in the Providence District could see 20-mph speed limit signs on Flagpole Lane, Borge Street, and Bushman Drive as part of a Fairfax County pilot starting in summer 2026. The county is currently gathering public feedback and traffic data, then must secure state approval before installing signs, with the test running into early 2027.
