Quadruple Shooting In Alexandria Results In Charges For 1 Of Injured People

ALEXANDRIA, VA — After a shooting with four injuries in Alexandria Monday, one of the injured people has been charged by police. Alexandria Police determined the shooting stemmed from an earlier dispute in Woodbridge.

Around 3:48 a.m. Monday, police responded to a report of a man shot outside an apartment complex in the 3800 block of Florence Drive. Police found two men with gunshot wounds at the scene. Both were taken to the hospital.

Alexandria Police were notified about two more people with gunshot wounds, a woman and man, at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Police believe all four were injured in the same shooting. All four are hospitalized in stable condition.

A preliminary investigation determined the shooting came after a dispute involving a woman in Woodbridge. Police believe suspects went to the Florence Drive location in Alexandria and exchanged gunfire in front of the apartment complex. Police have recovered a gun and 30 shell casings.

One of the injured people, a man from Falls Church, is being charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and felon in possession of a firearm. The man is hospitalized and is in the custody of the Alexandria Sheriff's Office.
