2 Juveniles Injured In Old Town West Double Shooting, Police Presence Increased
Alexandria Police found two juveniles with gunshot wounds in a vehicle, and one was in critical condition at the hospital.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Two juveniles were injured in a shooting in the Old Town West area of Alexandria over the weekend, according to police.
Police had responded around 2 a.m. Saturday to shots fired in the 1100 block of Wythe Street. Inside a vehicle, officers found two juvenile victims with gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to the hospital, and they are in critical and stable condition.
The incident was not far from the shooting that injured three people in the 1300 block of Wythe Street on Sept. 19. In response to the shootings, police said they are working with the Alexandria Redevelopment Housing Authority to address public safety. Police are increasing daily patrol units in the area, boosting community engagement among residents to address concerns, and assigning a neighborhood resource officer to resolve concerns.
