Acme Mid-Century + Modern Opening Shop on Lee Street

Home furnishings dealer previously was part of Del Ray's Potomac West Interiors and Antiques.

Acme Mid-Century + Modern, a purveyor of vintage and modern home furnishings one might see in Don Draper’s apartment, is opening a boutique shop in the atrium of the Crilley Warehouse in the 200 block of N. Lee Street.

Owner Pierre Paret had previously housed his collection in the lower level of Del Ray’s Potomac West Interiors and Antiques.

Later this month, the antique shop—which housed multiple dealers—will clear out of its space on Mount Vernon Avenue to make way for a new Walgreens store.

Paret carries pieces from many designers and manufacturers, including Charles Eames, Herman Miller, Knoll and Kofod Larsen. He will also help customers track down particular pieces of furniture and offers custom restoration services.

Paret is celebrating the opening of his first independent store this weekend from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 at the shop, located at 218 N. Lee St. Refreshments from nearby Overwood restaurant will be served and Paret will be on hand discussing mid-century modern furnishings.
