Alexandria Police Arrest Suspect in CVS Armed Robbery

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect last Wednesday; they announced an arrest on Monday.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria Police Department has arrested a suspect in the recent armed robbery of a CVS store in Alexandria.

Police announced the arrest Monday of Riley Dugan, 25, of Alexandria; Dugan is facing charges for the alleged armed robbery on Sept. 1 of the CVS Pharmacy at 5101 Duke St. (see map below), in the City's West End.

The Alexandria Police Department released surveillance photos last Wednesday of the robbery suspect, taken at the CVS store.

The robbery took place Thursday, Sept. 1 at 2:42 a.m., when a man entered the store and implied that he had a weapon, police said. The suspect demanded money, the cashier complied and the man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police. No one was injured, police said.
