Update: Police Find Missing D.C. Woman

Verdina Cunningham, 69, of Washington, D.C., was last seen in Alexandria Saturday night on E. Clifford Avenue.

Update 12:10 p.m. Cunningham has been found at her Washington, D.C., home.

Alexandria police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 69-year-old woman who suffers from dementia and needs daily medications.

Verdina Cunningham has been missing since around 8 p.m. Saturday. She was last seen sitting on the front porch of a residence in the 400 block of E. Clifford Avenue and apparently just walked away. A thorough overnight search was conducted but officers were unable to locate her.

Cunningham, of the 1300 block of Upshur Street, N.W., in Washington, D.C., does not have access to a vehicle and should be on foot. She is described as black, 5 feet tall, 140 pounds with short black hair. She was wearing a black jacket, cream -colored shirt, black corduroy pants and black sandals at the time of her disappearance.  She also uses a black walking cane and should have it with her.
