Is Another Big Change Coming to Bradlee Shopping Center in Alexandria?
Several store owners at the shopping center say a bank is moving to a smaller space at Bradlee.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Is the Wells Fargo Bank at Bradlee shopping center in Alexandria moving? Several store owners at the shopping center this week say that's the case and a map online shows it vacating its large corner spot early next year. But employees at the bank Friday said simply: "I don't know."
The bank, located at 3624 King St., is currently located in a spacious corner spot next door to the Hair Cuttery in a more than 4,000 square foot space. KLNB Retail and Washington REI note on their Web site that the 4,465-square foot space is available for lease beginning March 2017.

If the bank moves, where will it go? Some store owners say the bank will move into a much smaller space, across the shopping center, next door to T.C. International Salon. The popular longtime salon is still up and running but is currently downsizing from 3,800 square feet to roughly half of its usual space, at the same location.

If Wells Fargo moves next door to the salon, it will be just down the sidewalk from Capital One Bank, at 3690 King St. There is also another Wells Fargo branch nearby, half a mile away, on Fern Street in Alexandria, off of Quaker Lane.
The big question: What should go into the 4,465-square foot space, if Wells Fargo Bank moves? What would you like to see occupy that space? Tell other readers in the Comments box below the story.
