Armed Robbery, Assaults, Stabbing Overnight in Alexandria: Police

Police have two suspects in custody who allegedly assaulted and robbed a woman in the Lincolnia area.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Police are investigating two cases of assault and robbery and a stabbing that occurred overnight in Alexandria, according to three alerts sent out by police early Saturday.

Two suspects were taken into custody in one of the assault and robbery cases.

Gas station robbery: At 7:47 a.m., police sent out an alert about an armed robbery at a gas station in Alexandria, in the 500 block of S. Van Dorn Street. A suspect implied he had a weapon and assaulted the cashier before fleeing with money, police said. The location is in the City's West end (Google maps):

Assault and robbery: At 1:46 a.m., police sent out an alert about a person being robbed in the 200 block of N. Breckinridge Place. Two suspects assaulted and robbed a woman, injuring her arm, police said. Both suspects were apprehended by APD and are currently in custody. Police did not release the names of the suspects. The location of the assault and robbery is west of I-395, in the Lincolnia area (Google maps):

Stabbing: At 1:27 a.m. Sunday, police sent out an alert about a stabbing on S. Bragg Street, where someone was stabbed and taken to the hospital. Police did not release a description of a suspect. The area where the incident took place is west of I-395 (Google maps) also in the Lincolnia area:
