Bomb Threat At Alexandria City High School Not Credible: Police
A bomb threat was reported at an Alexandria school while students were off and staff were present during the Diwali holiday.

UPDATE: Alexandria Police say no explosive device was found after a thorough search of the school.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — While schools were closed to students for the Diwali holiday Monday, one school received a bomb threat while staff were present.
Alexandria Police said they were investigating a report of explosive devices at Alexandria City High School. Teachers and staff were sent home as a precaution.

Officers, Alexandria Police's Homeland Security section and a K9 unit are conducting a search of the campus. Police initially believe there is no evidence of an explosive device being present. The investigation is active, and residents are asked to avoid the area.
