Carr Workplaces Opens Location in Old Town

New office space is designed for individuals or businesses seeking flexible workspace by the hour or year.

, a provider of executive offices, announced it plans to open a third center in Old Town Alexandria in September.

The company integrates office space, furniture systems and IT infrastructure, enabling its users to create work environments available by the hour, week, month or year, for individuals or groups of up to 100 people.

The new location, at 1765 Duke St. is connected to the and across the street from King Street Metro.

Carr anticipates the new location will serve the flexible workspace needs of the association, legal, consulting and government relations sectors active in the Old Town area. It is designed for professionals who desire a small office setting and need close proximity to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and Federal Courthouse.

“Traditional office space locks businesses into long-term lease commitments and significant up-front capital expenditures,” Carr Workplaces CEO Joe Wallace said. “As more small business units look for an alternative approach, many are finding that the serviced office sector provides a fast, simple, and economical solution.”

This expansion marks Carr Workplaces' 17th executive office location in the Washington, D.C., area and its 33rd national location.

Carr Workplaces also operates centers in Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County, New York City, Ft. Lauderdale, Chicago and Atlanta.
