Updated: Chinquapin Pool to Reopen Tuesday Afternoon

Update: The city has announced that Chinquapin will reopen at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Due to a mechanical failure, the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center Rixse Pool, located at 3210 King St., will be closed.

The pool is located next to the main campus.

All aquatic classes will be canceled until further notice beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

All other scheduled activities will occur uninterrupted, according to a statement from the city.
