City of Alexandria Seeks Election Officers

The Alexandria Office of  is looking for election officers for the June 12 Democratic and Republican primary elections. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing the polling place for voting
• Setting up the voting equipment  
• Demonstrating voting procedures
• Closing the polling place

All officers must be registered voters in Virginia and be available to come to a training class on Monday, June 4, at 7:30 p.m. or Saturday, June 9, at 10 a.m. They must also be able to work all day on Election Day, which begins at 4:45 a.m. on June 12.
