D.C. Shooting Killing Alexandria Victim Leads To Arrest

Metropolitan Police have arrested and charged a suspect with the murder of a man from Alexandria.

WASHINGTON, DC — After an Alexandria man was killed in a Washington, D.C. shooting earlier in October, Metropolitan Police have arrested a suspect.

Malachi Davarchi Mack, 19, of Northeast, DC, was charged Tuesday with second-degree murder while armed. The charge follows the fatal shooting of Taquan Turner, 29, of Alexandria, on Monday, Oct. 7.

Around 8:44 p.m. on Oct. 7, Metropolitan Police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of T Street NE. Officers found a man with gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim died at the scene.
