DC Real Estate Firm Buys 13.5 Acre Tract for Future Development in Alexandria: Report
The tract is part of the Hoffman Town Center area across from Carlyle; real estate firm plans to develop site, according to Bisnow.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A DC realty firm has purchased a 13.5-acre tract that is part of the Hoffman Town Center, according to Bisnow. The area is close to the Eisenhower metro stop and I-495.
Alexandria property records show the tract at 2000 Eisenhower Avenue is worth $38 million and was owned by Hoffman Family LLC.
The firm, Perseus Realty, plans to keep the location as is for now, Bisnow reports. The tract currently includes a health club, OneLife Fitness, as well as several restaurants.

An earlier Hoffman Town Center map shows the tract in a "planning phase" with eventual 8-story residential, office and parking at the site.
Here's a description of the property on loopnet: Hoffman Family LP purchased 2000-2034 Eisenhower Avenue and 301-315 Hooffs Run Drive for approximately $3.5 million from GT Metro LP. Carey Winston Co. brokered the transaction. Area amenities include banking, commuter rail, hotel, restaurants, FedEx/Kinkos and jogging trail. Located only 1,500 feet from Eisenhower Ave Metrorail Station. 2000-2014 Eisenhower Ave is warehouse and 2016-2034 Eisenhower Ave is office. The two-building property features two-story, 160,000 sf office space and 62,669 sf of warehouse space including 8,000 sf of mezzanine office space. 2000-2034 Eisenhower Ave and 301-315 Hooffs Run Drive sit on a 13.29-acre site.

The area, Eisenhower Valley, is home to 400+ large, medium-sized and small public and private organizations employing 25,000 people, the Hoffman Town Center Web site points out. It includes such employers as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Whole Foods, the Society for Human Resource Management, Merrill Lynch, Florida Tech and Symantec, Inc., and others.
The Eisenhower corridor also includes a range of city services, entertainment venues, retailers, professional service companies, restaurants and recreational facilities. Many of these organizations are physically located at or within close proximity to Hoffman Town Center.
