Here are 5 Things for a busy Thursday, Aug. 22 in Old Town:
Eat a Peach Day — The peaches have been plenty lovely at recent Alexandria-area farmers markets. If you still have one left, be sure to celebrate with a nibble today. All out? Check out Arcadia’s mobile farmers market from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today outside Landmark Mall.
Ken Wenzel — This singer-songwriter, who is finishing up an album concerning his life in D.C., hits the stage at 10 p.m. at The Light Horse (715 King St.).

Rare beer — Greg Engert, beer director for the Neighborhood Restaurant Group, has been cracking open some of his finest, most rare bottles and offering at special prices at Rustico (827 Slaters Ln.) all week for the eatery’s spin on restaurant week. Five different large-format bottles will be available at a special price along with dinner. Keep an eye out for Thursday’s special on Rustico’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
Karaoke at Flying Fish — Have a tune you can actually carry? No? Well, how about one you at least can sort of carry? Sign-up beginning at 9:30 p.m. at Flying Fish (815 King St.).

Piano man — Morrison House (116 S. Alfred St.) hosts its Thursday sing-along in its piano bar featuring Bob Smith and friends. Doors open at 6 p.m. You can celebrate filet mignon day here, too.
