UPDATE: Man Dies After Shooting Wednesday in Alexandria: Police
Police confirm that the man died at a local hospital after a shooting in 1100 block of Duke Street Wednesday.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- An elderly man has died Wednesday in Alexandria at a local hospital after a shooting Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of Duke Street in the City, police confirmed.
The man was shot at least once in the upper body, police said. WTOP reports police are questioning "a woman who they said is involved in the shooting." NBC-4 reports the woman is not being called a suspect and she is cooperating with police; the news channel also reports the man was shot inside his home.
The incident took place in the 1100 block of Duke Street (see map below). Police say there is no threat to the public and that the involved persons were known to each other. Police said to expect activity in the area as they investigate.

No word if any arrests were made or the identity of the deceased. Police posted information about the felonious assault shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday and sent out an update shortly before noon, stating that the felonious assault was a shooting and that the victim died at a local hospital.
