Free Entrance to Two City Pools on Thursday and Friday

Memorial Pool at Charles Houston Rec Center and the Warwick Pool will have special hours to help residents beat the heat.

The City of Alexandria is switching its pool schedule due to the extreme heat and offering residents the chance to cool off at the Memorial Pool and Warwick Pool on Thursday and Friday for free.

Memorial Pool, located at the will open from noon to 6 p.m., and the Warwick Pool, located at 3301 Landover St., will open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

Memorial Pool, normally only open to residents 13 years of age and younger, will be open to all residents this Thursday and Friday.

All children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult 18 years of age and over. 

Regular summer hours for the Old Town and Warwick Pools begin Saturday, and for the Memorial Pool this coming Monday. For additional information on city pools, visit www.alexandriava.gov/Pools.
